The fee
Perpetual futures charge a periodic fee between longs and shorts. Positive rate = longs pay shorts; negative = shorts pay longs.
The yield
When a rate turns extreme, the receiving side gets paid just for holding - some stock perps have paid triple-digit annualized rates.
The spread
The same stock often pays differently per exchange: long the cheap venue, short the expensive one, collect the gap. The cards below rank exactly that, fees included.
Rates flip without warning - always check the break-even hold time and size positions accordingly. Not investment advice.

The extreme side is usually deep NEGATIVE funding - crowded shorts paying longs on a single venue. There is no spot borrow for pre-IPO and many Asia names, so one-sided flow cannot be arbitraged away. Persistently negative funding is also a caution sign for the name itself.

Rates are normalized to 1-hour funding. Green = negative (longs get paid), red = positive (longs pay). Max spread is the gap between the highest and lowest venue — a live snapshot, not a guaranteed arbitrage. Hover or tap a rate for details, click to trade on that venue. The Long/Short badges mark the two legs of the max spread: go long on the venue with the lowest rate and short on the highest.
Some venue links are sponsored. We may receive a commission, and eligible users may occasionally receive trading-fee discounts, at no additional cost to you.
